| 6k: | This refers to the estimated number of pages this product will print when under strict manufacturer tests. The 'k' stands for one thousand. A 1k toner will print approximately 1000 pages and an 8k toner should be around 8000 pages. |
| Toner: | Powder used in Brother laser printers. This powder is transferred via the drum onto the paper using electrical charges. The toner is then heated and thus melts onto or into the paper. |
| Yield: | A reference to the quantity of printing that can be performed. A High Yield cartridge would print more than a standard capacity cartridge. A low user Brother cartridge would print even less. |
