Delivery prices

• Delivery is as follows:

Delivery timescale

• The majority of orders are despatched within 2 working days. Products out of stock are usually delivered within 28 days but this is information for guidance and not a guarantee.
• Orders are not despatched on weekends or UK bank holidays.
• Island, Eire, Northern Ireland and Scottish Highland orders may be subject to an extended delivery.
• Some orders will be sent via a courier or by recorded post requiring a signature upon delivery. Goods which returned to us due to non-collection or due to no person available to sign will be classed as a return under the unwanted goods policy.
• Your credit card may be charged prior to despatch. This does not indicate a guarantee of despatch or acceptance of order.
• Orders with requests to be left unattended if no person is available to accept the delivery will be classed as delivered by PC Ink if we obtain a proof of dispatch.
• PC Ink cannot be held responsible for the industrial action of couriers or the Royal Mail and any delay caused by such reason is at the customers risk.
• Some larger products cannot be currently delivered to Ireland or Northern Ireland, such as printers. Please contact us in advance for delivery costs on these products if you need them delivering to locations outside the mainland UK.
• We do not supply international orders.

Privacy

• PC Ink only collect information that we require to fulfill your order. This is in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
• Secure payment pages are used on our website to protect your payment details.
• Customer details are not sold or given to any third party under any circumstances except to fulfil delivery purposes of your order. This may include giving your delivery address to the Royal Mail, a courier or an approved supplier who may arrange for delivery of your order.
• On rare occasions we may need to email all previous customers and your email address will be kept for such purposes. For example we will inform you of any manufacturer recalls or Health and Safety warnings relating to products that you have purchased. We will keep your email address on record for this purpose.
• We may periodically send promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided.

Trademarks

• All trademarks belong to their respected companies.
• Compatible cartridges are not linked to the manufacturer in any way.

General

• Customers must pay for goods prior to despatch with exception of PC Ink authorised credit account customers.
• Account customers are required to pay for goods within 30 days of invoice.
• Customer credit accounts are available only to businesses and will only be opened at the discretion of PC Ink.
• Results of product searching through the PC Ink website or external sites shall be the responsibility of the customer to ensure the correct products are being purchased.
• Prices are subject to change at any time and without notice.
• Delivery and despatch times are estimates only and shall not be of the essence of the contract.
• Stock levels are an indication only and are not a guarantee of availability.
• All risk of products supplied passes to the customer at time of receipt.
• Change cannot be given for overpayment by Postal Order or cheque.
• We reserve the right to supply manufacturer multipack cartridges within our own multipack deals. We will not usually swap individually ordered cartridges for manufacturer packs without prior agreement.

Guarantee

• Every product comes with a one year guarantee unless specified otherwise with the exception of compatible cartridges which are guaranteed for three months.
• Some manufacturers have a direct returns line and you accept that the guarantee will be organised by the manufacturer and not PC Ink for certain ranges of products. If you have an issue with a manufacturer guaranteed product, please contact us and we will provide the correct email or phone number for the customer returns department within the manufacturer. Note that you may need the serial number of the item and a proof of purchase. PC Ink can provide a proof of purchase if you need this. Failure to contact the required return department will be classed as a failure to follow returns procedure and shall make your return null and void. If you are unhappy with the returns department of a manufacturer, please contact us.
• Products that are not guaranteed by the manufacturer are guaranteed by PC Ink and you will need to email us with a description of any fault to initiate a return.
• If you wish to know if a product return would be handled by PC Ink or the manufacturer prior to purchase, please email for confirmation.

Returns

• The customer must inspect the goods upon delivery and report any delivery errors or faults within 3 working days of receipt. This must be done either through the website returns/missing goods form or in writing (preferably email).
• Damaged goods must be returned to PC Ink within 28 days of receipt.
• Faulty products accepted by PC Ink will be refunded in full or exchanged for a product of the same value.
• Accident damage, neglect or misuse of items or worn items will not be acceptable for return.
• Customers that have modified any product will void their warranty.
• Returned cartridges will be weighed and those deemed to be empty or near empty will be classed as used and shall not be acceptable for return.
• Carriage costs cannot be refunded except where the mistake is that of PC Ink or goods returned under DSR regulations.
• Expediated delivery costs are classed as a service and these delivery costs cannot be refunded if goods are delivered on time, even if returned under DSR regulations. Standard delivery charges are covered by DSR regulations.
• The customer shall pay any carriage costs involved in a return where the goods supplied are as requested and are not faulty.
• PC Ink will only arrange for collection from mainland UK customers under special circumstances. We do not collect from customers in Eire or Islands.
• PC Ink will not promise that any product will last for a pre-determined amount of time and will not be acceptable for return under this reason.
• Incorrectly ordered products or unwanted returns not covered by the DSR regulations will be subject to a 20% restocking charge with a minimum £2 charge. These items must be returned within 28 days and be a condition fit for resale. All resellers will pay the handling charge on any return and must report the return within 3 working days.
• Some products are special order and may not be returned and the order cannot be cancelled under any circumstances. These products will be identified on the website prior to ordering.
• Refunds will usually be made by the same method of payment within 30 days from the return request of the item assuming proof of reasonable care is supplied.
• The customer is responsible for taking reasonable care of any items they wish to return and this must be proven before a refund or replacement can be issued.
• In cases where the customer purchases items at a quantity discount and returns some of the items as unwanted shall be deemed to be charged the higher price originally for the kept products and the quantity discount will apply at the quantity kept and any eligible refund or credit shall reflect this.
• DSR Regulation unwanted returns must be return the complete product, undamaged, unmodified and inpection must be no more than permitted in a shop. Example, a shop would not permit you to open the box on an inkjet cartridge but would on lever arch files. This does not affect faulty products. Businesses may not return goods under unwanted goods DSR Regulations. By ordering under a company name, by using a company credit/debit card or by placing an order under a credit account, PC Ink will determine that the purchase is for business use.
• Products with warranty end dates printed on the box are guaranteed by the manufacturer up to the warranty date and by PC Ink for the remaining time on your guarantee coverage which is usually 12 months for most original cartridges. We cannot accept returns for products based on the cartridge date except DSR returns. We can offer a full warranty on all products sold.
• PC Ink will not guarantee any product for longer than 12 months. All claims for products over 12 months from date of purchase are between the customer and the manufacturer. PC Ink recommend that warranty cards are completed where appropriate and returned to the manufacturer.

Reasonable care

• Returned consumables must include their original, undamaged box. The only exception are faulty products where the box would be helpful but is not a requirement of return.
• Consumable products cannot be returned if the box and/or seals/tabs have been opened unless the product is faulty.
• Printing consumables cannot be returned if used, partially or fully, unless faulty.
• Media products including, but not limited to, CD's and DVD's cannot be returned if used in any way, unless they are faulty.
• Opening blister packs or boxes constitutes usage and acceptance of a product and therefore cannot be returned unless faulty.
• The customer can inspect the box to ensure they have ordered the correct item. This does not affect your statutory rights as you would not be permitted, nor would it be necessary to open boxes to test consumable products or use media prior to purchase in a shop setting.
• All returned goods must be packaged in a manner that will not damage the goods during transit for the return. PC Ink recommend you use the same packaging the item was delivered in, if available, to ensure suitable packaging and encourage recycling.
• Computers cannot be returned under DSR regulations if paid for software has been registered. Evaluation and testing must be done without sofware registration. This does not apply to returns of faulty products nor does this apply to free software such as Linux Ubuntu but does apply to all Microsoft software.

Acceptance of order

• Fulfilment of an order is subject to stock availability and PC Ink are under no obligation to accept your order.
• Failure to obtain authorisation for payment will result in cancellation of your order.
• The payment system may check your address that you have typed in with that of the credit card statement address. Those orders which do not match may result in a delay or cancellation of your order.
• We do not accept orders where the delivery address is requested in the UK but the credit card is a non-UK card.
• Delivery will only be accepted to physical addresses only and PO Box number only deliveries may not be supplied.
• A full address must be supplied by you and include a full correct postcode and house number where applicable.
• Failure to provide a full address will result in a delay on your order.
• By completing the checkout with PC Ink website, you are making an offer to purchase the goods at the advertised price. PC Ink may refuse this offer.

WEEE Regulations

• The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive aims to make producers pay for the collection, treatment and recovery of waste electrical equipment. The regulations also mean that suppliers of equipment like high street shops and internet retailers must allow consumers to return their waste equipment free of charge.
• The amount of WEEE we throw away is increasing by around 5% each year, making it the fastest growing waste stream in the UK. Recycling reduces the environmental and health risks associated with sending electrical goods to landfill.
• PC Ink is obliged under these regulations to offer our customers free take-back of their WEEE on a like-for-like basis when they buy a new Electrical or Electronic product from us.
• Customers must return their like-for-like WEEE item to us within 28 days of purchasing their new item. The postage or delivery cost of the return is payable by the customer.
• Under the WEEE Regulations, all new electrical goods should now be marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol shown to show that they were produced after 13th August 2005, and should be disposed of separately from normal household waste so that they can be recycled.
• To recycle locally, please contact your local authority for details of your local recycling facilities.

Battery Regulations

• The Waste Batteries and Accumulators Regulations: Under the Waste Battery Regulations, we are now offering a take back scheme for all portable waste batteries. You can return your waste batteries to our business premises in person (please do not post). Please contact us for our business premises address.
• Alternatively, you can find your local recycling facility at either www.recyclenow.co.uk or www.recycle-more.co.uk.

VAT

• Your statutory rights are not affected.
